Winter Internship & Technical Training Program

We encourage you to read more about the Hon'ble Prime Minister's thoughts on India's remarkable space journey in his Mann Ki Baat program in August 2024, where he shared his thoughts on India Space Week and its significance and appreciated its contribution.

Following the notice issued on December 8, 2023, regarding the online meeting on "Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth," referenced as F.1-1/2023(secy/ViksitBharat@2047), we are pleased to announce that the Prime Minister has launched "Viksit Bharat @2047" on December 11, 2023.

The Government of India, under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi, has initiated groundbreaking reforms in the space sector. These reforms aim to promote and advance space education, research, and development in our country. Following the successful of India Space Week & National Space Day event held in August, 2024 and an Advanced Drone workshop /Internship Technical Training Programme /Cyber Security Awareness Program/Astronomy and Astrophysics/Space Entrepreneurship/ Distaster management/ conducted across universities and offical Departments.In continuation, The India Space Lab has launched a Winter internship technical training program - 2025 for all ( Space Education & Employment ).

About Winter Internship :

Undergraduate and postgraduate students and research scholars in recognized universities or institutions in India and abroad can apply for the India Space Lab Winter Internship. Participants will work closely with various verticals, divisions, and cells of Space and receive training in Drone Technology, CanSat and CubeSat (Student Satellite), Rocketry, Remote Sensing (GIS), Disaster Management.

The Winter internship has a total of 1045 available seats. Selection shall be conducted on first come first basis.

Registration for the winter internship and training program will open from 27th Nov - January 31st 2026 till 11:59 pm

Winter- Internship Technical Training Schedule: DAYS (Feb 2nd to Feb 18th )

  1. 3 Days of Advanced Drone Technology : Feb 2nd to Feb 4th
  2. 3 Days of CanSat and CubeSat (Student Satellite): Feb 5th to Feb 7th
  3. 3 Days of Rocketry Training Program: Feb 9th to Feb 11th
  4. 3 Days of Remote Sensing ( GIS) Sessions: Feb 12th to Feb 14th
  5. 3 Days of Disaster Management Sessions: Feb 16th to Feb 18th
  6. Project focused on Technology and Official Works: Feb 19th to March 3rd

Duration: The period of Internship will be for a minimum period of 30 days and maximum period of 45 days.

Training fees : ₹950/-
