Instructions

The Internship Recruitment Process consists of the following steps:

Internship Registration process: All students interested in getting an Internship through the Institute are required to register in the Internship portal. The registration fee is Rs. 2000 [ including 18% GST ] [except PhD scholars] .
The registration fee Rs.1350 for PhD scholars.
After a company fills out an IRF and it is approved by the Internship office, the same will be opened up in the portal. Students must check the portal daily to see if there are any IRF for which they are eligible to apply. If they are, then the student may upload his/her resume for this profile.
Shortlists will be declared and dates for further selection process will be announced in the Internship portal. It is the student's responsibility to keep themselves up-to-date on the developments.
If there are more than one Interview on the same day then company wise priority order will be taken from the common students and interview slotting will be done accordingly.
Once the final selections are done, results will be declared in the Internship portal. The student will then be required to confirm/decline the offer in the offer management portal.

Once a student has been given an offer by a company, he/she will be deregistered from the Internship process irrespective of whether he/she accepts or declines the offer. In case the student receives multiple offers, he/she may accept one offer subject to item a-4 above. A waitlisted student is eligible to receive an offer before 12 noon the following day. Waitlisted students who have not received any offers may continue to participate in the Internship process.

Placements and Internships, most probably two of the most important reasons you chose to aspire for IIT Madras. The fight you put for the PoRs under the perception that they will look good on your resume, the struggle to get a good CG, now is the time to bring fruit to your labour!

Fair warning, this is going to be one of the most gruelling phases of your insti life. It will be loaded with infi fundae sessions, mock tests, mock interviews, PPTs, and interviews. You will need to find your weaknesses, work hard on them, learn to sell yourself with a piece of paper, and go through many sleepless nights. But in the end, you will have made yourselves (and even us) proud!
